Alice A. Kokodis is a trusted advisor to employers on a wide range of workplace issues, with a practice focused on delivering strategic, business-oriented counsel. She works closely with multinational companies and their legal and HR teams to navigate complex employment law challenges across jurisdictions. Her guidance spans the full employment lifecycle – from hiring and compensation to performance management, leave of absence, internal investigations, and terminations – with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.

Alice’s advice is shaped by years of litigation experience. She has defended employers in a broad spectrum of employment disputes, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour violations. She has appeared in over 15 jurisdictions and before federal and state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. This litigation background informs her practical, preventive approach to counseling, helping clients avoid disputes and prepare effectively when litigation is unavoidable.

Alice is also a member of Littler’s AI and Emerging Technologies working group. She advises employers on the responsible use of AI tools in the workplace, including the legal and ethical implications of algorithmic decision-making. Her work includes helping clients navigate emerging federal, state, and international regulations around transparency, fairness, and accountability in automated employment practices.

An active speaker, Alice regularly presents at domestic and international conferences on a variety of employment law topics. Her recent engagements have addressed workplace AI, compliance with paid leave laws across jurisdictions, and practical litigation strategies for in-house counsel and HR professionals. She is known for delivering clear, practical insights that help employers stay informed and make sound, forward-looking decisions.
