Overview

Kelly T. Chu advises and represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment law matters arising under both state and federal law, including:

  • Wage and hour
  • Discrimination and harassment
  • Retaliation and wrongful termination
  • Leaves of absence and disability accommodations

Kelly also devotes a substantial amount of her practice to counseling clients on performance management, terminations, employee classifications, and wage and hour practices and routinely partners with legal and human resource departments to implement and maintain legal compliance. She helps clients stay current and compliant with employment law developments by auditing wage and hour practices, developing compliance strategies, providing workplace training to management and human resources staff, and drafting employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements.
