WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 29, 2024) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Felicia Watson as senior counsel in its Washington, D.C., office. Watson joins from the National Association of Home Builders, where she served as assistant vice president of construction liability and research.
“Felicia brings nearly 30 years of legal experience to Littler, including a long-standing focus on developing policy and litigation strategies. We’re excited to welcome an attorney of her caliber to our Occupational Safety and Health practice, and know that Felicia’s extensive policy and compliance background will be an immense benefit to our clients,” said Steve McCown and Alka Ramchandani-Raj, co-chairs of Littler’s Occupational Safety and Health practice group, in a joint statement.
Watson counsels employers on matters involving regulatory compliance, construction liability, workplace safety, and internal investigations. She has participated in all aspects of civil litigation in federal and state courts, including assessing and developing litigation strategies and conducting discovery. Watson also has extensive experience evaluating federal trade and policy developments to assist stakeholders with international trade issues. As a certified Information Privacy Professional, she is well-versed in drafting and implementing privacy policies to comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation and changes in U.S. data privacy laws.
“Having spent much of her career advising on statutory and regulatory compliance and workplace safety matters in the construction industry, Felicia’s practice will bolster the offerings of both our Washington, D.C., office and our thriving Occupational Safety and Health practice. We are excited to have her join our growing D.C. office,” added Joshua Waxman, Littler’s Washington, D.C., office managing shareholder.
Additionally, Watson will be an important member of Littler’s Workplace Policy Institute® (WPI™), the firm’s government relations and policy arm which focuses on shaping workplace policy and serves a voice for employers as they navigate the ongoing changes in employment and labor law. Her knowledge will assist with advocating on behalf of the employer community to affect workplace policies at the state and federal levels.
Watson also has authored multiple whitepapers and is a frequent speaker at national events on legal compliance involving the Fair Housing Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and privacy and ethics. She earned her LL.M., with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center; her J.D., cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law; and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Seattle University.
