DENVER (April 14, 2016) – Philip L. Gordon and Zoe M. Argento, attorneys in the Denver office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, were recognized as winners of the “2016 Distinguished Legal Writing Award” by The Burton Awards. Their article, “The Brave New World of Wearables in the Workplace: Privacy and Data Security Concerns for Employers” was one of only 35 entries selected out of submissions from the country’s largest 1,000 law firms. This is Gordon’s second time receiving recognition from the Burton Awards. In 2013, he was named a Best Law Firm Writer for his article, “Re-thinking and Rejecting Social Media ‘Password Protection’ Legislation.”
The Burton Awards, a non-profit program run in association with the Library of Congress, and co-sponsored by the American Bar Association, is dedicated to recognizing excellence in the legal profession, putting special emphasis on highlighting exceptional legal writing. The winners are selected by a panel of law school professors and judges from some of the most prestigious institutions in the country. This year’s winners will be recognized at the 17th Annual Burton Awards event at the Library of Congress on May 23.
“This is a prestigious honor and we congratulate Phil and Zoe on this great achievement,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “This award demonstrates Littler’s continued commitment to providing our clients with relevant, timely and high-quality content.”
